7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD – Control & Motor Compatibility

As a heavy-industrial 7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD, the XD4000-23P5-4C2221 supports open-loop V/F control (5-point), slip compensation and Sensorless Vector Control (SVC). It also provides closed-loop vector control with encoder feedback for asynchronous motors, plus native control laws for permanent magnet (PM) and reluctance motors.

Because of this range of control modes, the drive delivers 150% overload (Heavy Duty) / 120% overload (Normal Duty) of rated current for 1 minute. Its output frequency spans 0.1–599 Hz, and efficiency reaches up to 98.6% at full load — so torque and speed control stay reliable across induction, PM and reluctance motor types.

7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD – Crane & Hoisting Features

For crane, hoist and material-handling duty, the XD4000-23P5-4C2221 — a 7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD — provides dedicated brake control with brake feedback, plus separate brake-release current settings for hoisting and lowering. It also offers high-speed hoisting, which adapts motor speed to load so an empty hook can travel faster, along with rope slack detection and external load measurement via a weight sensor.

In addition, dynamic load and load-variation detection, open- and closed-loop torque control for winder applications, and positioning by limit switches or sensors are all built in. A braking transistor is standard up to 160kW HD.

7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD – Pump, PID & Oil-Field Features

For pumping and process applications, this 7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD includes a built-in PID controller with 4 preset references, sleep/wake-up and sleep-boost modes, and pre-PID predictive frequency.

The ENA (Energy Adaptation) / Sucker-Rod function supports progressive cavity pumps (PCP) in oil & gas duty. As a result, it allows operation without a braking resistor while reducing mechanical stress and energy use, complemented by Backspin Control for PCP pumps. In addition, feedback monitoring covers pipe break, fire-hydrant-opened, mechanical breakdown and water-leakage conditions, and pump cycle monitoring tracks start counts to avoid unwanted aging.

7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD – Master-Slave, MultiDriveLink & Connectivity

Using the onboard Ethernet port, one master XD4000-23P5-4C2221 — a 7.5kW(HD)/11kW(ND) 415V VFD — can coordinate up to 10 slave drives via MultiDriveLink. This enables speed synchronisation or torque/load sharing in common-shaft applications such as dual-motor kilns, tandem or grab cranes, long belt conveyors and parallel-chain textile stenters. The link is wired in daisy-chain, star or redundant-ring (RSTP) topology over standard Ethernet cabling.

Communication is built-in via Modbus RTU / Modbus TCP / Ethernet IP, with 1 RJ45 port for Modbus plus 2 RJ45 ports for Modbus TCP/Ethernet IP. However, optional PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT and POWERLINK cards are also available, all managed from the advanced 8-line, IP65, 2-colour graphical LCD keypad.
